• I have worked in the travel industry for a number of years, and the last three years within the cruise sector. I have been fortunate to have travelled with a number of different cruise lines and to have seen a good spread of destinations over the years, and I love the fact that cruising offers so many different experiences and ports of call in one holiday. No two days are the same, and the opportunities are endless.

• My taste for luxury cruising started during my placement year at The Cruise Portfolio, so after graduating in July 2005 with a degree in Tourism Management from Hertfordshire University I returned to the company to join the Sales & Marketing team. My favourite cruising experience has to be dining at Silk Road onboard Crystal Serenity, and I was thrilled when Nobu Matsuhisa opened a second restaurant last year onboard Crystal Symphony.

• Previously I spent three years with a high street travel agency, but I have been with The Cruise Portfolio since 2005, originally in a reservations/administration role before moving into the Sales & Marketing team where I enjoy a diverse range of tasks. I have found cruising to be a wonderful way to see the world, and some of my most enjoyable moments are waking up and looking outside, with anticipation, for the first glimpse of that day’s new port.

• Working within the cruise industry for over twenty years I have seen dramatic changes, visited some of the loveliest and interesting parts of the world and met some of the nicest people. With a large choice of exciting destinations and wonderful ships I firmly believe that there is a cruise out there to satisfy all individual tastes and desires. One of my personal favourite cruising experiences was to sail through the tiny islands of Halong Bay, Vietnam in the calmness and serenity of a beautiful sunrise.

• As a veteran of the cruise industry I have been fortunate to work for a number of cruise companies over the years, to have cruised to all four corners of the globe and to have experienced many different ships. For a relaxed yet elegant cruise I particularly enjoy the freedom experienced onboard the Windstar vessels under sail. Another favourite experience was a voyage onboard Le Diamant to Norway and up to Spitzbergen, the archipelago at the top of the world.

• My background was in air travel until joining The Cruise Portfolio in October 2001. A very special cruise experience for me was onboard Crystal Serenity four years ago during a call at Venice. Always a stunning and memorable cruise destination for anyone, but made doubly special as my husband proposed to me in St Marks Square and we are now expecting our first baby this summer.

• With over 30 years experience in the travel industry I became a cruise specialist 8 years ago. I have undoubtedly been privileged to sample the very finest cruising has to offer. Time and time again my personal recommendation has been Crystal and to work for this product is very exciting .I always insist on the best for my clients and Crystal exceeds expectations on all levels. My favourite destination has to be the diversity of the Far East but the view of the Corcavada and the harbour of Rio (one of the 7 natural wonders of the world) from Sugar Loaf Mountain was spectacular.

• I have worked in the travel industry for many years and have been in my present position since May 2001. Last year I was able to experience the Windstar on a wonderful cruise from Barcelona to Nice. I loved the flexibility and choices onboard, the excellent cuisine and friendly service, and my best memory was sitting on deck one evening dining at “Candles” restaurant overlooking St Tropez.

• I have a passion for travel, having been in the business for many years and gained experience in retail sales, business travel and airline reservations. As a relative newcomer to cruising my overwhelming first impression when stepping on board a Crystal ship was the friendliness of the fellow guests and crew and the smoothness of the embarkation. Long leisurely days at sea are definitely my favourite times.

• My introduction to cruising began on my Honeymoon, many years ago. Following several more cruises, my husband and I made the decision to work onboard the cruise ships. We loved the experience and continued to work onboard ships for 8 years. On our eventual return to the UK, I started work as a Cruise Specialist for a Travel Agent, working mainly from home, until joining The Cruise Portfolio this year. A few years ago I cruised with Windstar Cruises and I think that it has to be my favourite cruise experience. It was so different from anything I had ever done before and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

• I have worked in the travel industry since leaving school and I really can’t imagine working in any other industry. I have also been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel extensively including a gap year where I explored Australia from coast to coast. One of my favourite parts of Australia was the Northern Territory so I’m very happy to be working for The Cruise Portfolio promoting Orion Expeditions who specialize in cruises in the Kimberly area, as well as many other beautiful parts of the world including the Far East.
